Louise Polino

Louise Polino (Petrillo) of Winthrop passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the age of 91. Born in East Boston, the beloved daughter of the late Sabino and Rosina Petrillo, she resided there prior to moving to Winthrop 59 years ago. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo J. Polino, the devoted mother of John Polino & Leslie of Winthrop, Joseph Polino & Patricia of North Reading, James Polino & Elizabeth of Winthrop, & Jeffrey Polino & Charlene of Golden, Colorado, the dear sister of Dorothy Gentile & Tito of Lynnfield & the late Anna Trapasso, Helen Memmolo and Louis Petrillo, cherished grandmother of Louise Martino, John Polino, James Polino Jr., Joseph Polino and Jonathan Polino, loving Great Grandmother of Danielle, Christopher, Robert, Jake, Matthew, Dominic & Aiden, & Great, Great Grandmother of Victoria. Louise was very devoted to her family and will be sadly missed. She loved the beach, cooking & traveling to her parents’ homeland, Italy. Visitation Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Ernest P. Caggiano & Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop from 8:30 A.M. until 11 A.M. followed by a funeral mass to be held at St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 A.M. Relatives & friends are cordially invited to attend. Internment will follow in Winthrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Jimmy Fund, 375 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
