Eileen G. Stasio of Read St., Winthrop passed away at the Whidden Hospital in Everett on October 15, 2012 after a brief illness. She was 88 years old. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Amy (Fulerton) and Roy Somers. A life long resident of Winthrop, she was a member of the Amvets, the Winthrop Emblem Club and the Rebekah's.

She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony Stasio and the loving mother of Eileen Elliott and her husband David of Danville, NH, Barbara Lawlor of Winthrop and Annette LaPorta and her husband Robert of Revere. She was the dear sister of Louise Kennison and Amy DesJardain both of Peabody. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Committal is private.
