Donald R. Flintoff

U.S. Veteran

Donald R. Flintoff of Hale Ave., Winthrop passed away at the Golden Living Center in Cohasset on October 28, 2012 after a long illness he was 81 years old. Born in Saugus, he was the beloved son of the late Cecil and Gertrude Flintoff. A resident of Winthrop for over 40 years, he served in the U.S. Army and upon his discharge was employed as a drudgeman for Local 25 for many years.

He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia (Daniels) and the loving father of Karen Walsh of Hull and Barbara Caturano of Gloucester. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The Funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in the Holy Rosary Church, Point Shirley, Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
