James R. Quist of Cliff Ave., Winthrop passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers on April 14, 2012 after a long illness. He was 53 years old. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the Jeanette (Barrieau) and the late Kenneth C. Quist. A life long resident of Winthrop, he enlisted in the Air Force for several years. After he was honorably discharged from military service, he went on to work as a roofing contractor for many years.

He was the loving father of Douglas L. Quist of Lowell and Richard J. Quist of Portland, OR. He was the dear brother of Marguerite Paul and Kenneth Quist both of Winthrop. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Memorial Service in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
