Anita (Pescosolido) Marcoccio

Anita Marcoccio of Pleasant St., Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on January 20, 2018. She was 94 years old. Born in Arce, Italy she was the beloved daughter of the late Assunta (Corsetti) and Eleuterio Pescosolido. Coming to this country at an early age she resided in East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 54 years ago. For many years he worked as a stitcher for the Goddess Bra Factory in East Boston.

She was the devoted wife of the late Domenic Marcoccio and beloved aunt of loving niece Pia Rossi. Beloved stepmother of Domenic Marcoccio, Jr., Lucille Guaetta, Patricia Marcoccio, Marie Marcoccio and the late Geannie Possamato and Gilda Ciccarello. Dear sister of the late Bernardo, Salvatore, Antonio and Angela. Also survived by many loving stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
