Carmen A. Paolini of Revere St., Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on June 4, 2016. He was 84 years old. Born in East Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Anna (Federico) and Umberto Paolini. A resident of Winthrop since 1965, he was a 1951 graduate of East Boston High School where he was a starting right tackle for the 1950 State Champion Football Team. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful father, an avid coin collector and a fan of all New England Sports Teams.

He was the devoted husband of Eileen R. (Flaherty) and the loving father of Debra Mariano and her husband Leonard of Winthrop, Steven Paolini and his wife Cheryl of Winthrop and the late Marilyn Agave. Dear brother of the late Domenic Paolini. Cherished grandfather of Carly, Andrew, Kristin, Christopher and Lauren. He was also the beloved uncle of Domenic and Joseph Paolini.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
