Carol J. (DeNapoli) Burns

Carol J. Burns of Main St., Winthrop passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on February 10, 2018. She was 77 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Madelyn (Scandone) and George H. DeNapoli. A life long resident of Winthrop she worked as a secretary in the film distribution industry for many years. She was also a member of the Robert A. DeLeo Senior Center in Winthrop.

She was the devoted wife of David Burns and the loving mother of Christopher Burns and his wife Alison of Bridgewater and Jonathan Burns and his wife Allison of Winthrop. She was the dear sister of the late Kenneth DeNapoli. She was also the cherished grandmother of Caileen, Francis and Caroline.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
