Frank H. Carideo, Sr. of Nottingham, New Hampshire and formerly of Winthrop passed away at the Exeter Hospital on October 28, 2015. He was 75 years old. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Amelia (Graziano) and Frank S. Carideo. A longtime resident of Winthrop, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. at an early age rising to the rank of Cpl E-4 where he was an Antitank Assaultman. After his honorable discharge he founded Fire Control Instruments Inc., a manufacturer of fire alarm and fire control systems. He was a member of the Winthrop Yacht Club, AFAA, PLIA and was the former president of NFPA.

He was the devoted husband of Leanne (Petersen) and the loving father of Karen Higginbotham and her husband Kevin of New Hampshire, Frank H. Carideo, Jr. and his wife Theppi of Winthrop and Christina Magee and her husband Sean of Beverly. He was the dear brother of Theresa, Carol and Cheryl. He was also the cherished grandfather of Kellie, Erica, Vincenna, Savaun, Francesca, Amelia, Bobby, Corey and Brianna.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Intermet to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
