George E. McGrath, Jr. of Elmwood Ave., Winthrop passed away at home on November 14, 2016. He was 63 years old. Born in Chelsea, he was the beloved son of Ann (Nolan) and George E. Mcgrath, Sr.. A life long resident of Winthrop, he worked for many years as a truck driver for Emery Trucking. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 25.

He was the devoted husband of Jane M. (Schroeder) and the loving father of Kim McGrath-Johnson and her husband Mallory, Sr. of Hollywood, Florida, George E. McGrath, III and Jason McGrath both of Winthrop. Dear brother of Douglas McGrath of Revere, Annie Cheney, Pattie McGrath and Mary Hogan all of Winthrop. Cherished grandfather of Dori, Janae, Aidan, Mallory, Jr. and Mijah.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Committal will be private.
