James J. Napoli of Sewall Ave., Winthrop passed away suddenly on February 4, 2017 at the Mary Lane Hospital in Ware. He was 59 years old. Born in Arlington, he was the beloved son of Giuseppe Napoli and the late Rose (Tassone). A longtime resident of Arlington, he has been a resident of Winthrop for the past 14 years. He worked as a property manager for many years and at the time of his death was pursuing a position as a trial court officer, a position he had held many years ago.

He was the devoted husband of Cathleen (Carideo) and the loving father of Nicholas and Liliana Napoli both of Winthrop. He was the dear brother of Dennis Napoli and his wife Diane of Plainville and the late Diana Wesoloski and her husband Jerry. Loving son in law of Jane and Thomas Carideo. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
