Janice M. Howard of Atlantic St., Winthrop passed away on July 22, 2017. She was 82 years old. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret (Jones) and Edward Murdock. A resident of Winthrop for the past 52 years, she was employed as an administrative assistant for D.R. Howard Inc. until her retirement.

She was the devoted wife of the late Robert J. Howard and the loving mother of Richard Howard of Vermont, Douglas Howard and his wife Pamela of Saugus, Scott Howard and his wife Sheryl of Winthrop and Jill Petersen and her husband Gregg of Winthrop. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow the mass in Winthrop Cemetery.
