Lottie T. Murphy of Pleasant St., Winthrop passed away at home on September 6, 2016. She was 90 years old. Born in Fall River, she was the beloved daughter of the late Teresa (Krupa) and Jacob Stefanik. A resident of Winthrop for over 66 years, she was employed as a desk clerk at the Hilton Hotel for many years. She was a former Cub Scouts Leader, a Brownie Leader and a member of the Winthrop Catholic Women's Club. She also loved to do Arts and Crafts and taught sewing at night school.

She was the devoted wife of the late John A. Murphy, Jr. and the loving mother of John A. Murphy, III and his wife Wallice E. of Hingham, Gloria G. Murphy of Winthrop, Kathleen Ahern and her partner James Dowd of Stoneham, James J. Murphy of Winthrop and Robert M. Murphy of Winthrop. She was the dear sister of the late Helen Maceik, Celia Watras and Joseph Stefanik. She was the cherished grandmother of Cheryl LeBlanc, Gerald Ahern, Michael Moriarty, Timothy Murphy and Thomas Murphy. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow the mass in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
