In 1952 Louis was named by the Boston Junior Chamber of Commerce to the "Outstanding Young Men of Greater Boston". Other notables in this group of eight were the future President of The United States, John F. Kennedy, and Massachusetts Senator Edward W. Brooke. He was a member of numerous local, state and national Boards, Appointments and Community Service Organizations. When Louis decided to retire, he and his wife Theresa enjoyed 25 years of wintering at their home in the Sarasota, Florida area, but always looked forward to summering at their beloved home in Winthrop.
