Marilynn J. Beardsell passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on January 17, 2018. She was 75 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Mary (Smitherman) and Milton J. Barry. A resident of Peabody at the time of her death, she previously lived in Winthrop and Middleton. Prior  to her retirement she was employed as a Recreational Therapist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the DMR. She was Winthrop's first female taxi driver and was the former Town Clerk for the Town of Middleton. She was a driver for the Council of Aging in Middleton, one of the founders of the Middleton Athletic Association and the former Recreation Commissioner for the Town of Middleton. She loved to travel and won first place at the Topsfield Fair for her Japanese Embroidery which is called Bunka. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of Edward Beardsell of Danvers, Robert Beardsell and his wife Jennifer of Haverhill and Sherri Harris and her companion Matthew Armitage of Middleton. She was the dear sister of Robert Barry of Florida and the late Kevin and James Barry. Cherished grandmother of Evan, Erik, Allison and Piper.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
