Robert J. Brenna of Eleanor Court, Winthrop passed away at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester on September 21, 2017. He was 91 years old. Born in Winthrop, he was the beloved son of the late Philomena and Carmen Brenna. A life long resident of Winthrop, he enlisted in the United States Navy at an early age during WWII. After his honorable discharge he went on to work as a bartender for many years. He was also a long time member of the Winthrop Golf Club.
He was the devoted husband of the late Madeline (Mangini) and the loving father of Robert Brenna of Saugus and Frederick Brenna of Woburn. Dear brother of the late Josephine McCormick and Theodore Brenna. Cherished grandfather of Kristin, Carolyn, Katherine, Candice, Robert, III, Jennifer and Ricky. Great grandfather of Grayson and Franklin.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow the service in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
