Rose Cadden of Enfield Rd., Winthrop passed away at home on April 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Tarrantino) and Antonio Mazzio. A longtime resident of East Boston, she has resided in Winthrop since 1999.

She was the devoted wife of the late James Cadden and the loving mother of Diane Nalen and her husband Steven of Winthrop and Jane Farrow and her companion Daniel Brody of Winthrop. She was the sister of Dominic Mazzio of Peabody and the late Mary Palano, Joseph Mazzio, Michael Mazzio, Vincent Mazzio and Anthony Mazzio. Cherished grandmother of Steven Nalen and Cameron Farrow. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment private.
