Surrounded by his loving family, Roy A. Wells entered into Eternal Rest on December 15, 2016 after a lengthy, courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. The previous two years were a gift as his astonishing strength to survive defied all odds. Typically, employment history, etc. is noted, however; we choose to spotlight what was by far his greatest achievement as husband and father. His easy going mannerism, work ethic, zest for life and fun was infectious and inspiring. As a man of few words, he spoke volumes. What you couldn’t do, he did for you. What you could do, he helped. As a committed provider, protector, his family always came first. Not many were as reliable as he, regardless of time or place. His talents far exceeded a college education. If you needed anything, he was there no questions asked. Often the butt of jokes, he loved the attention nonetheless. Our New England Patriots have lost one of their biggest fans. Our family has lost our Patriarch, but feel the need to share his deepest wish, for all to just get along.

Roy was the devoted husband of Alice V. (Pitts) Wells of Winthrop, Brother of Virginia (Ginny) Roberts. Loving father of Darrin R. Wells and Kimberly S. Wells of Winthrop, Roy A. Wells, Patricia Wells, Dominic Cerulli and Cecilia of Winthrop, Donna Cerulli and Rob Grady of Brockton, Deborah Cerulli of Winthrop, Frederic Cerulli and Jenn of Wakefield, Kathleen Cerulli-Hickey of Winthrop, and John Cerulli and Kelly of Salem New Hampshire.  Also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren Jamin, Charise, Justin, Robbie, Corey, Alicia, Jessica, Sarina, Madison, Kylie, Nico, Jake and Luke. 

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM. Committal will be private.
