Tera Ann “Tootsie” Wynters (nee Reardon) passed away peacefully at her home in Winthrop on October 7th at the age of 79, after a lengthy illness.  Wife of the late John “Jack” Wynters, she was also predeceased by a son, Steven.  She is survived by her three sons: Chuck Wynters and his wife Kathy of Waltham, Richard Wynters and his wife Linda of Londonderry, NH and Michael Wynters and his wife Jolene of Vacaville, CA.  Tera is also survived by her grandchildren: Annie Wynters of Kapolei, HI; Charles Wynters of Waltham, MA; Jack & Frank Wynters of Londonderry, NH; Megan, Nicole & Derek Wynters of Bedford, MA and Riley Wynters of Vacaville, CA.  She was predeceased by her siblings William Reardon and Eleanor Green, and is survived by four brothers Edward Reardon of Arlington, MA; Timothy Reardon of Texas; Paul Reardon of Winthrop and Michael James Reardon of Melrose and five sisters Mary Delano of Texas, Barbara Reardon, Catherine Lent of Maryland, Arlene Barry of Melrose and Diane Saraceni of Florida.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  

During her final weeks and months, while her health deteriorated, Tera’s well-being was supported by her family, and also by the extraordinary personal care assistants and health care providers from Winthrop Place, Boston Medical Center and East Boston Elder Service Care.  Their tireless efforts eased her pain during her final hardship, and to them the family is eternally grateful.

A private Memorial Service will be held for immediate family only, at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015.  Committal will also be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Tera’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts/New Hampshire - 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.  Phone 617.868.6718
