Thomas J. Lee of Almont St., Winthrop passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on January 13, 2016. He was 77 years old. Born in Winthrop, he was the beloved son of the late Edith (Fay) and Carl H. Lee. He grew up in East Boston, before moving to Winthrop over 48 years ago. He enlisted in the Army and served for over two years before being honorably discharged as a Private First Class. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a bricklayer for Local 3, specializing in waterproofing. He was a former scoutmaster for the Winthrop Boy Scouts, Troop 78 and was a past member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.

He was the devoted husband of Barbara A. (Nikodem) with whom he was married for over fifty years and the loving father of Thomas Lee of Winthrop, David Lee of Winthrop, Christine Power and her husband Michael of Winthrop and Cheri McGoldrick and her husband Paul of Salem. He was the dear brother of the late Carl H. Lee and the cherished grandfather of Michael, James and Susie.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
