William F. Cleary of Overlook Drive, Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on December 19, 2016. He was 74 years old. A life long resident of Winthrop, he was employed for many years as a barber.

He was the devoted husband of the late Elaine (Silva) and the loving father of Billy Cleary of Martha's Vineyard, Kevin Cleary of Walpole, Brian Cleary, Kelly Hodgkins, Jackie Cefalo and Marianne Murray all of Winthrop. He was the cherished grandfather of Christopher, Alicia, Stephen, James, Anthony, Scott, Danielle, Hunter, Amanda, Alex, Tyler and Gemma. Great grandfather of Leilanizi. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
