Anthony Jan Saponaro of Revere, passed away unexpectedly March 27,2024 at the age of 69.
Born April 4,1954 in Boston Ma. Jan was a lifelong resident of Revere but also enjoyed the home he owned in North Reading.
From a young age, Jan was an integral member of the various Saponaro successful ventures that his Father Anthony (Tony) founded. Beginning with the well known "Las Vegas Nights " and "Tiffany's Restaurant" in Everett to one of New England's largest rental/special event companies Camelot Special Events in Wakefield, run by Jan and his two brothers after their Dad`s passing,
Jan was the dedicated son of the late Anthony Saponaro and Bernadette (Slaney) Saponaro. He leaves his long time companion of 30 years, Evelyn French of North Reading. His loving daughter Danielle Saponaro Zaccaria and her husband Michael of Revere. His brother Mark and his wife Stephanie of Stoneham. His brother William and his wife Gail of Wakefield. His cherished grandchildren Natalia and Michael Anthony of Revere, and his nieces and nephews. He was husband to the late Karen Nutile Saponaro.
Jan will be greatly missed by his dozens of cousins and innumerable friends.
He was a long time member of The Patriots Civic Club in Revere. A lifelong biker with no particular affiliation. Jan was welcomed to ride with all, that is how much he was respected. His favorite ride was his Harley. One could say Jan was a big car enthusiast. He loved everything from his tiny smart car to his huge Cadillacs. From pick up trucks and a van to vintage classics. But his favorite was his "1963 split window Corvette".
Oh yes, Jan was one of a kind, sincere, loving and dedicated. If he knew you needed or just wanted something it would somehow appear at your door. Hiding behind his bellowing exterior was his teddy bear interior which really wasn't hidden at all. We don't say goodbye to Our Jan we will simply say, "Till we see you again "
Funeral arrangements are private, however the family is planning a celebration of Jan 's life this spring.
