Janice C. (Hogarty) Memmolo

It is with great sadness the family of Jan Memmolo of Sewall Ave., Winthrop announces her passing on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant. She was 77 years old. Born in Chelsea on November 21, 1940 she was the beloved daughter of the late Lillian (Bonner) and Francis Hogarty. Jan was a Winthrop resident for over 50 years. She received her LPN in 1976 and her Gerontology degree later on. Jan was a LPN for over 30 years and retired to work as a secretary at a local attorney's office for 20 years.

Jan will be lovingly remembered by her her children, Michelle A. Tower and her husband Erik and Michael T. Memmolo and his wife Marnie. Cherished grandmother of Danielle J. Trainor and her husband Jake and Ava Grace Memmolo. Dear sister of Patricia A. Kindelan and her husband Edward and the late Joan Levine and her husband Howard, Thomas Hogarty and Michael Hogarty. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Former wife of Thomas Memmolo.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Winthrop Lodge of Elks 191 Washington Ave., Winthrop on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM prior to the start of the visitation.
