Mary (Frizzi) Alessi

Mary Alessi of Bellevue Ave., Winthrop passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on February 21, 2019. She was 95 years old. Born in Boston she was the beloved daughter of the late Jennie (Bonfiglio) and Gaetano Frizzi. She resided in East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 61 years ago. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a garment worker making sportswear.

She was the devoted wife of the late Carl Alessi and the loving mother of Linda Murray of Winthrop, Michael Alessi of Salem and Carl Alessi of Winthrop. Dear sister of Gloria Capone of Winthrop, Guy Frizzi of Revere and the late Frank Antonucci, Sarno Antonucci, Mildred Antonucci, Angie Orlandino, Vincent Antonucci and Victoria Frizzi.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with entombment in the Woodlawn Mausoleum in Everett.
