Dario Copia

Dario Copia of Winthrop passed away at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston on October 15, 2020. He was 55 years old. Born in Atri, Italy he was the beloved son of Annamaria (Marconetta) and Giovanni Copia.  He was a resident of East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 20 years ago. A chef by trade he was so creative with food and had an innate way to make even the simplest ingredient taste amazing. Anyone who was lucky enough to have had his food were never disappointed.  He was a thinker and creator and would spend hours and days creating new menus or designing woodworking projects.  He was a perfectionist when it came to cooking and woodworking.

He was the devoted husband of Nancy Lent Copia and the loving step father of George Lent Darcy and Samuel Lent Darcy both of Winthrop. Dear brother of Roberto, Gabriella and Emanuela all of Italy. His family is in Italy but his chosen family in America is huge and included all. 

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a celebration of life in the funeral home on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
