Maureen F. (Leary) Shanahan

Maureen F. Shanahan of Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on June 26, 2022. She was 64 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Helen P. (Driscoll) and Arthur W. Leary. A life-long resident of Winthrop, she worked as a loan processor for Liberty Bay Credit Union.

She was the loving mother of Jonathan Shanahan and his wife Jena of Winthrop, Lindsay Shanahan of Lynn and Morgan Shanahan of Lynn. Dear sister of Michael A. Leary of Walpole, Timothy J. Leary of Winthrop, Brian D. Leary of Boston, Patricia Canario of Melrose and Christopher J. Leary of Winthrop. Cherished grandmother of Josephine.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral mass in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
