Diane Melanson of Strafford, New Hampshire passed away suddenly on April 28, 2017. She was 56 years old. Born in Winthrop on May 5, 1960 she was the daughter of Vincent Oliva, Jr. and the late Anna M. (McDonald). Diane was raised in Winthrop and attended St. John the Evangelist Grammar School. After moving to Beverly in the early 70's she went on to graduate from Beverly High School in 1978. She was employed in Massachusetts at Varian, Analogic, GE and Ametck. After moving to New Hampshire she worked at Healthcare Administrative Partners in Portsmouth as an A/R representative.

She was the beloved wife of Paul Melanson and the dear sister of Marie Sacco of Danvers and Vincent Oliva, III and his wife Mary Ann of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery following the service.
