Gaetano Saraceno

Gaetano Saraceno of Trident Ave., Winthrop passed away at home on December 14, 2019. He was 89 years old. Born in Augusta, Sicily, Italy he was the beloved son of the late Carmela and Giuseppe Saraceno. A long time resident of Winthrop he was employed as a shuttle driver for Hertz for many years. He also worked for American Biltrite, Dobbs and the United Airlines Flight Kitchen. He a member of the Augusta Club of Boston for over 42 years and was a member of the Revere League for Special Needs.

He was the devoted husband of the late Concetta (Silvestro) and the loving father of Carmela Knipe of Minnesota, Joseph Saraceno of Winthrop and Guy Saraceno of Winthrop. Dear brother of Maria Serrante and her late husband Alvaro, Concetta Saraceno, Silvio Saraceno and his wife Milena, Domenico Saraceno and his wife Angela and the late Luciano Saraceno and his wife Maria and Francesco Saraceno. Cherished grandfather of Daniel and Connie Knipe.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
