Gene Gerbitz of Seal Harbor Rd., passed away at the Highgate Manor in Dedham on November 30, 2017. He was 68 years old. Born in Madison, Wisconsin he was the beloved son of the late Betty (Bostad) and Willard Gerbitz. A resident of Winthrop for many years he worked as a United States Customs agent  for the Federal Government until his retirement.

He was the devoted husband of Linda Gerbitz and the dear brother of Jane and Wes Klug, Steven and Jana Gerbitz, Debbie and Greg Caine, Kathy and John Welhoefer, Bonnie and Rich Everhart, Ricky Gerbitz and the late Larry and Nancy Gerbitz. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow the service in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
