Gerard Ciampolillo Obituary

Gerard A. Ciampolillo of Pond St., Winthrop passed away at the Chelsea Soldier's Home on December 3, 2018. He was 88 years old. Born in Boston he was the beloved son of the late Mary (Capodilupo) and Giovanni Ciampolillo. He grew up in East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 50 years ago. He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as an Airman 2nd class. After his discharge he went on to work for Consolidated Cigar and then went on to work in the security department for the Massachusetts State Lottery. He was also a member of the DAV.

He was the devoted husband of Mary (Vaccaro) and the loving father of Gina Marie Acone and her husband Ralph of Middleboro and Carole Ann Brown of Winthrop. Dear brother of the late Nancy Flammini. Cherished grandfather of Courtney, Natalie, Briana, Alexa and Michelina.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Committal will be private. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
