Josephine M. Murray of Revere St., Winthrop passed away at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Peabody on November 2, 2017. She was 89 years old. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elvira (Mazzocchi) and Ambrosio Vincenti. A resident of Winthrop for over 70 years she was employed for many years as a waitress at the Hilton Hotel at Logan Airport. She was also a long time member of the Winthrop Emblem Club #15 at the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.

She was the devoted wife of the late John S. Murray and the loving mother of Patricia McPhail and her husband John of Billerica, William Murray and his wife Denise of Raymond, New Hampshire and the late John Murray, Jr.. Dear sister of the late Gina Monaco and Florence Reynolds. Cherished grandmother of Michael McPhail and his wife Patty Lynch of Beverly, Lisa McPhail of Wilmington, Sean Murray of Raymond, New Hampshire, Danielle Jamieson and her husband Daniel of Billerica, Brian McPhail and his wife Kristen of Pepperell and Craig Murray of Sandown, New Hampshire. Loving Nonny of Nathan and Leah McPhail.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
