Judith A. Silck of Buchanan St., Winthrop passed away at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere on November 17, 2019. She was 76 years old. Born in Dorchester she was the beloved daughter of the late Catherine (Waters) and James Fahey. She was 8 years a Sister of Daughters of Charity in Emitsburg, Maryland and did charitable and nursing care to the sick in the mountains of Maryland. She also worked as a Catholic nun and registered nurse at the Soldier's Home in Washington D.C. She worked as a R.N. at the Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain and taught nursing at the Malden Hospital School of Nursing and the Mass. State College in Beverly. She was also the director of Academic Affairs at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford before retiring.
She was the devoted wife of John "Jack" Silck and the loving step mother of Christine Wallace and her husband Joe Livingston of Concord, NH. Cherished grandmother of Sydney and Gracie Wallace. She was loved by her closest friend/cousin Beverly Lembo and her husband Peter. Judy also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families in Attleboro, Chelmsford, Nashua, New Hampshire and Winthrop.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral mass in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
