Lucy E. Nocito of Kennedy Drive, Winthrop passed away at the Saugus Center on January 3, 2018. She was 90 years old. Born in Somerville she was the beloved daughter of the late Louise (Cormier) and Timothee Benoit. A resident of Winthrop for over 40 years she was employed as an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts General Hospital before her retirement. Above all else family was her life.

She was the devoted wife of the late Louis G. Nocito, Sr. and the loving mother of Elizabeth Nocito of Pepperell, Mary Anne Spillane of Revere and Louis G. Nocito, Jr. of Quincy. Dear sister of Lorraine Farmer of Winthrop and the late Mary Maynard, Theresa Moore, Timothy Benoit, II and Daniel Benoit. Sister in Law of Margaret Benoit. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Spillane and her husband Trevor Byrne of Ireland and Shannon Spillane of Rhode Island. Great grandmother of Mila Rose.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
