Melody A. (Voloshen) Allen

Melody A. Allen of Pleasant Court, Winthrop passed away at the Brigham and Women's Hospital on March 21, 2019. She was 62 years old. Born in Boston she was the beloved daughter of the late Sophie (Gorchykowski) and William Voloshen. A resident of Winthrop for over 29 years she was employed as a Middle School teacher for Winthrop Public Schools.

She was the loving mother of Joshua Allen of Norwood and Rebecca Allen of Huntington Beach, California. She was the dear sister of the late William Voloshen and his wife Michelina and Michael Voloshen. Cherished grandmother of Brooke, James, Skyler and River.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM.

Following the service a Celebration of Life with a light lunch will be held at the Orient Heights Yacht Club 61 Bayswater St., East Boston from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
