Norma M. Briana of Lincoln St., Winthrop passed away at home on October 18, 2018. She was 88 years old. Born in Boston she was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Massaro) and Ralph (DeStefano). A resident of Winthrop since 1951 she was employed as an elementary teacher for the Nahant Public School for many years.
She was the devoted wife of Richard W. Briana and the loving mother of Joanne Jackmauh and her husband Paul of Winthrop, Richard W. Briana, Jr. and his companion Renee Richards of Revere, Mark Briana and his companion Wendy of Burlington and the late Stephanie Briana. Dear sister of Ralph J. DeStefano of Pennsylvania and the late Peter DeStefano. Cherished grandmother of Paul Anthony, Brittany, Rachele, Talya and Richard III. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
