Patricia J. Fennell (Dawson), of Winthrop, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2017.  She was 80 years old.  She was the loving wife of William F. Fennell and the adored Mother of Kathleen Fennell of Winthrop, Patrick Fennell of Winthrop, Kerry Simoneau and her husband Matthew Simoneau of Marlborough and William L. Fennell of Winthrop.  She was the beloved Nanna of Jessica Rogowicz, Rachel Rogowicz, John Rogowicz, Jr, Katlyn Fennell, Mark Fennell, Sean Fennell and Jack Simoneau.  Born in East Boston, she was the cherished daughter of Leo and Helen Dawson and the sister of the late Leo Dawson, Eugene Dawson and Margaret Vermiglio.  Also survived by many adored nieces and nephews. Prior to her retirement in 2000, Patricia was a dedicated employee of the Department of Social Services where she worked as an Administrator for many years. However, her greatest gift on earth was that of Mother and Nanna.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10:00 AM. Committal will be private.
