Steven J. 'Pop" Tarantino passed away on August 30, 2017. He was 79 years old. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Susan (Napoli) and Steven Tarantino. He grew up in the North End of Boston before residing in Winthrop and Revere. He was an Air Force veteran and after his honorable discharge he went on to become the proprietor of Casa Santino Hair Salon. In the early 1980s he moved to Hyannis. There he continued to do hair but also worked as a house painter and in construction. He loved the Cape life and loved his house and working on it was 'a labor of love'. In his last decade he retired to West Palm Beach Florida. He loved the weather and the pace. He enjoyed people watching, reading, golf and the beach.  He will be remembered for his great laugh, sense of humor and his love of his family.

He was the loving father of Craig S. Tarantino of Pembroke, Carla A. Tarantino of New York and Christina Tarantino of Roslindale. He was the dear brother of Vincent Tarantino of Winthrop, Guy Tarantino of California, and the late Lillian Spinale, Jenny Palladino and Marie Sarno. Cherished grandfather of Emma, Nicholas, Julia, Daniel and Violette. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
