Teresa M. Diggdon, 93 of Winthrop Ma passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, Chelsea Ma.

The daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Maher) Diggdon, Teresa was born in Beverly  on March 25, 1924. She grew up in the Boston area and lived her adult life in Arlington and Winthrop. She was a 45 year employee of the N.E. Telephone co. in Boston and a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Teresa spent her life taking care of her beloved late sister Joyce, and taking great joy in her love of her cats, sewing, cooking and shopping.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Kathleen Dewhurst, Sara Krieman, Joyce Diggdon, and brother Herbert Diggdon. She is survived by 9 nieces and nephews and their families, and several cousins.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Johns the Evangelist Church in Winthrop, Ma. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Teresa’s name to your local SPCA for the care of cats or the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N. Beacon Street. Watertown, Mass 02472
