Thomas R. Greenfield, Sr. passed away on January 3, 2018. He was 105 years old. He was the widower of Ann Claire Greenfield since 1991.

He is survived by his daughter Carol Greenfield, son Thomas R. Greenfield, Jr. and his wife Janie. Also survived by many family members.

He graduated from Boston High School of Commerce where he was on the swim team and picked as the smartest.

He worked at Winthrop Town Hall for 24 years and retired at the age of 93.

His hobbies included travel, swimming, gardening, reading and walking. Most of his vacations were done in Aruba where he parasailed, went horseback riding and rode on a catamaran to the coast of Venezuela. He traveled much of Europe, Eqypt, Morocco, China, South Africa and North Zimbabwe where he went on an elephant safari.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside service in the Winthrop Cemetery at the corner of Bowdoin and Buchanan streets directly behind the funeral home on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:30 AM.

He lived a good long life and will be sorely missed by all.
