Andrew J. DeFilippis

Andrew J. DeFilippis of Middleton and formerly of Winthrop passed away at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody on February 23, 2024. He was 92 years old. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Mary (Salza) and Nicholas DeFilippis. A long-time resident of Winthrop, he enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his honorable discharge he went on to work in the furniture and upholstery business. He was also a member of DAV.

He was the devoted husband of the late Marilyn A. (Spano) and the loving father of Andrew DeFilippis and his wife Kathleen of Saugus, David DeFilippis and his wife Jerri of Saugus, Brian DeFilippis and his wife Diana of Manchester, New Hampshire and Mark DeFilippis and his wife Susanna of Middleton. Dear brother of Richard DeFilippis of Duxbury and the late Michael DeFilippis, Nicholas DeFilippis and Anna Vandersnoek. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Christopher, Adriana and Sofia. 

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with military honors in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
