Anna M. (Masello) Mathios

Anna M. Mathios of Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on May 25, 2022. She was 82 years old. Born in East Boston she was the beloved daughter of the late Christina (Capone) and Michael Masello. A resident of Winthrop for over 50 years she worked as a teacher's aide at Shore Collaborative prior to her retirement.

She was the devoted wife of Spiros Mathios and the loving mother of Sophia Aravena and her husband Carlos of Winthrop. Dear sister of Helen Biddle of Florida and the late Joseph Masello. Cherished grandmother of Carla, Ana, Christina, Sofia and Carlos, Jr.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
