Anne Nooan passed peacefully on May 15, 2023. She was 90 years old. Anne spent her career working in the insurance industry at John Hancock in Boston. Anne was predeceased by her beloved Husband, James. James and Anne literally traveled the world together. They went all over the USA and throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Anne loved cats and you could always find her cat keeping her company and being spoiled by Anne. They were by her side while she watched every tennis match on TV. Tennis was also a strong passion of Anne’s.
She loved music and had a piano at her home. When it was time for her to move to a smaller home, she was happy to gift the beautiful piano to a young music student from East Boston, who never imagined she would have her own piano.
After retiring from John Hancock, Anne filled her days by volunteering. She volunteered for the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange. Anne had a genetic medical condition-Marfan Syndrome. She volunteered for the Marfan Foundation for over 20 years. She was the treasurer of the Massachusetts Chapter for several years. She attended all of our meetings, fundraisers and other events. We are sad to see Anne pass, but she lived a life of curiosity, adventure, and service. A life well lived.
A short service at the grave site will take place St Stephen’s Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
