Anthony R. Capobianco

Anthony Robert Capobianco of Winthrop passed away on February 7, 2022 at the Lawrence General Hospital. He was 55 years old. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of Judith Lubell and Anthony R. Capobianco.

Anthony grew up in Winthrop, and attended Winthrop Schools. He was a 1984 graduate of Winthrop High School where he excelled as a left handed pitcher in baseball. He went on to attend Providence College and graduated from Suffolk University. Anthony worked in the paving & landscaping industries.

He was the loving companion of Rebecca Todd, and the dear brother of Andrew Capobianco of Winthrop, the loving nephew of Lisa Corkum of Ipswich, Margaret Capobianco of Newton, Angeline & Ricardo Cortez of Newton, James and Gino Capobianco of Winthrop and the late Sheila Pompeo and George Lubell.

Anthony was the grandson of the late Mary & Jack Lubell and Ralph and Raffela Capobianco. He was the loving cousin of Casey and George Lubell, Gabe & Rafael Shoulder, Cristina Botino, Ricardo Cortez and Valentino Capobianco.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the graveside service in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow at the Beachmont Yacht Club 168 Pearl Ave., Revere.
