David was born on May 28, 1935 at the Winthrop Community Hospital. He started dating his beloved wife Lorraine when at 15 they had their first date at the Topsfield Fair. They raised their family in Winthrop in the house his father built in the neighborhood they grew up in.
In his youth he would help at his family’s store - Edie’s Variety. He would tell many stories of preparing the turkeys for Thanksgiving, going to the market in Boston for groceries and drying mittens on the pot belly stove.
He graduated from Northeastern University and received his masters from Bentley University.
He started his career at Sanborn company that later became Hewlett-Packard. He worked for over 30 years at New England Nuclear that later became DuPont. He retired at 50 from DuPont. He later retired as Executive Director from NEC Corporation.
Most precious to him was time spent at his home in Merry Meeting Lake in NH. He created a home for his family and friends to enjoy.
He will leave a huge void in the lives of many. We will miss his smile, sharp wit and never-ending love for his family.
