Dorothy A. Milton of Revere passed away at home on June 14, 2023. She was 92 years old. Born in South Boston she was the beloved daughter of the late Lucy (Gonsalves) and Justin DeSilva. A life-long Revere Resident, she attended Revere High School and traveled with the glee club as the pianist. She grew up with a piano in her home and played into her late 80’s. She was a gifted piano player, Chopin, Mozart etc.

Dorothy was a lover of all sports. Watching Bobby Orr, Jimmy Connors, YAZ, Larry Bird, and then of course Tom Brady. She was also a fierce competitor. She learned how to play tennis from her son Ron and became a Revere City Doubles Champion, playing in many leagues and winning competitions with her sister Joyce as well.

She oversaw two multi-unit federally funded properties, one in South Boston and the other in Whitinsville MA.
She was a devout Catholic, active in the Immaculate Conception Church that she was married in, then Our Lady of Lourdes in Beachmont, and then finally Holy Rosary in Winthrop. She was the Rosary leader at the Lighthouse Nursing Home and ran holiday events in the three Revere nursing homes. She was an active participant in the Revere Food Pantry, walked the streets of Boston with Holy Rosary to feed the poor and always believed in giving back to those less fortunate.
