Elsa M. (Shea) Verdy

Elsa M. Verdy of Lincoln St., Winthrop passed away at home on October 24, 2020. She was 95 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Elsa R. (Gartz) and John P. Shea. A life long resident of Winthrop she worked as an Office Manager at National Life Insurance. She was a member of the Winthrop Catholic Women's Club, Winthrop Historical and Improvement Association, Secretary of Tenants Association at the Heritage and Viking Gardens, a member of the board of directors Winthrop Council of Aging and a member of the Friends of the Council of Aging.

She was the devoted wife of the late George Verdy and the loving mother of Sharon O'Brien. Dear sister of John F. Shea and loving aunt of Stacey Aspen and John P. Shea. Also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery was private.
