Francis R. Cavaliere

Francis R. Cavaliere, Sr. of Winthrop passed away at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea on May 22, 2021. He was 93 years old. Born in East Boston he was the beloved son of the late Josephine (DeMassi) and Frank O. Cavaliere. He enlisted in the United States Army during WWII and after his honorable discharge he went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree at the College of the Holy Cross. Prior to his retirement he was the proprietor of Eastern Flooring in East Boston.

He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline C. (Kenney) and the loving father of Thomas Cavaliere and his wife Mary of Winthrop, Anne Cavaliere of Tewksbury, Jodi Sampson of Middleton, Paula Cavaliere of Weymouth and the late Francis R. Cavaliere, Jr. and his wife Christine Cavaliere-Ogus of Winthrop. Dear brother of the late Rose Ligotti. Cherished grandfather of Frank, Nick, Samantha, Jordan, Kaitlin, Scott and Michael. Great grandfather of Parker, Cooper, Mila and Sloane.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. The services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
