James J. Power

James J. Power of Winthrop and Yarmouth, Cape Cod and formerly of Everett passed away on October 2, 2023. He was 63 years old. Born in Medford, he was the beloved son of the late Mary F. (Gibbons) and Joseph K. Power. 

Jim started his career in CT at Electric Boats and then worked at the Massachusetts Laborer's Union, Local 22 for the rest of his career, retiring in May of 2023. Jim took pride in his work and was known to be a proficient welder. 

Jim was an avid boater and a skilled outdoorsman that loved to camp. He was also a member of the Pleasant Park Yacht Club.

He was the dear brother of Kenneth Power of Framingham, John "Jack" Power of Lehigh, Florida, Joan Paquette of Sandwich and Kathleen Power of West Yarmouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
