Devoted wife, loving and caring Mother and Nana.

Janet Louise (McIlroy) Rand, life long resident of Winthrop passed away peacefully surrounded by her three loving daughters and husband on April 30, 2022. She was 76 years young.

Janet was the beloved wife of Gerald C. Rand, loving daughters Kimberly J. Rand and her partner Andy Toohey, Shannon L. and her husband Sean Watson and Stacy L. Rand and her partner Joe Frasso. Her loving grandchildren, her pride and joy, Emma Louise Watson and John Richard Watson. 

She left behind her little sister Maureen L. Nickerson and husband Nick and her big brother Larry B. McILroy, his children Julie, Rachel, Todd, Jeff, Caitlin and Dion, Sister in law Jean Barry and husband Rich, their late daughter Kelley and two sons Ricky Barry of Winthrop, and Dave Barry of Colorado, Sister in law June Rand and late husband Bill Rand and their late son Stephen Rand, their children Karen of Oregon, Kenny, Bobby, and Billy, and his children Jake and the late Benjamin of Connecticut, prior deceased Mother E. Louise McIlroy, Mother in law Kathleen Rand and brothers Butch and Skip McIlroy, Skip's children David, Kathy, Patty, Debbie, and Jamie.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service in the First Church of Winthrop United Methodist 217 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery. The Celebration of Life will be at the Elks lodge in Winthrop directly after the services.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude's Hospital, a non profit organization for children with cancer.
