Joshua Cohen Obituary

Joshua K. Cohen of Winthrop, he was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend passed peacefully after a three-year battle with cancer at the Boston Children's Hospital on January 7, 2021. His life will serve as an example of strength, dignity, and perseverance for those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother April, his brother Alexander, his stepfather James Gallagher III, his aunt Nichole, his father David, his grandparents Rosemary and Larry Kaye, Sharon Cohen, Patricia and James Gallagher Jr. Along with an army of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will all miss him deeply.

Services and interment are private. Anyone who who like to pay their respects to Joshua can gather either on Winthrop Beach or at the Winthrop Middle School on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 between 11:00 and 11:30 AM. The funeral will process by during these times.

Memorial donations may be made to the at Dana Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org. The family asks those who are able to join the bone marrow registry to honor his memory.
