Kathleen T. (Oakes) Masterson

Kathleen T. 'Kitty" Masterson of Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on August 10, 2021. She was 87 years old. Born in Winthrop she was the beloved daughter of the late Ann (Dooley) and James Oakes. A life-long resident of Winthrop she was employed as a clerk for the Winthrop Health Department prior to her retirement.

She was the loving mother of Anne McInerney and her husband Regis of Winthrop and Robert Masterson, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Winthrop. Dear sister of the late Lillian E. McIntosh, Arthur Oakes, James Oakes, Mary A. Harrington, Rose A. Kelly, James J. Oakes, Jr., John Oakes, Helen Bullock and Paul W. Oakes. Cherished grandmother of Cara McInerney and her partner Travis of Georgia, Julie Salemme and her husband William of Revere and Andrew McInerney and his wife Kristen of Georgia. Former wife of Robert Masterson, Sr.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.
